Hallstatt

We were ready for another small town and headed to Hallstatt. We found it on a list of top places to visit in Austria and I am so glad that we did. It was so cute and small. It was nice to have some relaxing time to just sit and not have to walk everywhere.
This is when you know that you are in the country
Hallstatt Lake
Our room was so nice and cheaper than anywhere else we stayed. We had a balcony where
we could sit and look at the lake.
It was really cold water because it comes from a glacier. We got in got long
enough to cool off.
Hotel Haus am See. Look how close we were to the See!

We stayed in a small town just across from Hallstatt because it was cheaper.
We had to take a boat to get to the actual city. This area is know for its salt. That
is how they built the cities and kept them going.

Boat Parking
We ate at our hotel every meal that we were there. It was in my opinion the best
food we had the whole trip.

We decided to change our schedule a little and stay in Hallstatt for half of the next day. We took an gondola to the top of the mountain called Dachstein. It was pretty cloudy, but cleared up for us by the time we got to the top. It was well worth it for the view and being able to see all the different mountain ranges.

Our first view point.
This is the picture that we dropped our camera taking. Well worth
it for sure.
SO Bright!
Hallstatt Lake from the top of the mountain.
This one was called the five fingers. You could see the valley from five different
views like down through glass, through a frame, and just normal.

We had to walk back in record time so that we could get our bags
from the hotel and get to the train in time.  It was time to get on with
our next adventure.
